Nick Jackson’s journey is a testament to the power of resilience, mentorship, and the unwavering belief in the potential for positive change. Born and raised in Connecticut, Nick’s early years were marked by challenges, including a learning disability that could have easily derailed his path. However, it was the influence of positive adults in his life, including his grandfather, that set the foundation for Nick’s future as a beacon of hope and transformation.
Inspired by their wisdom, Nick began to recognize his own potential for positive influence. This realization would shape his future endeavors and set him on a path of service and inspiration. After graduating from Loveland High School in Ohio, Nick pursued higher education at Mt. St. Joseph University, where he balanced his roles as a running back on the football team, his studies to become a special education teacher and proud member of the EXCEL program within the university.
During his college years, Nick was supported by great coaches and trainers who taught him valuable lessons about overcoming fear and tapping into his higher character. While still in college, Nick began speaking to middle and high school students to help them transform adversity into throughlines of hope and pathways to success.
Nick also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the university by leading and keynoting events throughout his collegiate career. This helped earn him the position of spokesperson for the campus. Through this role, Nick presented to state and national organizations, like the board of regents, to help secure funding for the University’s endeavors.
After college, Nick broke barriers by becoming the first African American male teacher hired in several school districts. He used his position to bridge divides, engaging in meaningful conversations with students from all backgrounds. Nick’s approach was rooted in understanding diverse issues, which dealt with properly, could dispel fear and foster unity.
Nick met Chris Collinsworth at an event where Nick was speaking. Chris immediately hired Nick to be a motivational speaker for his foundation. Chris also introduced Nick to Anthony Munoz. Through these relationships, Nick’s career as a motivational speaker began to take shape, leading him to found Nick Jackson Speaks in 2012.
His powerful messages of hope and transformation have since reached over a million people, earning him accolades such as the TEDx People’s Choice award, as a speaker at Muhammad Ali’s birthday celebration and Entrepreneur in Residence at Miami University.
Recognizing the urgent need to address issues like mental wellness, bullying, racial tension and youth suicide, Nick founded IAmSPEAKLOVE in 2016. This non-profit organization equips students and educators to lead and cultivate positive change. It has inspired over half a million young people to lead and cultivate positive change.
Nick’s commitment to community service extends to innovative projects like “TurkeyCuts,” and organizations such as Living in Testimony, Change Productions, Cop Conversations and Proms for Purpose.
As an executive and leadership coach, Nick has guided CEOs, doctors, pro-athletes, and educators, helping them maximize their potential for positive impact. His entrepreneurial coaching has contributed to the creation of millions in wealth for his clients.
Today, Nick Jackson stands as a living testament to the power of resilience, mentorship, and unwavering commitment to positive change. His journey from a challenging childhood to becoming a beacon of hope for hundreds of thousands demonstrates the transformative power of character and belief. Through his speaking engagements, coaching, and community initiatives, Nick continues to inspire and empower others to overcome adversity and create positive change in their communities.
